Delete your Orrbbit account

You can delete your account inside the Orrbbit app, or request deletion here without logging in. We verify ownership with a secure, single-use email link before anything is processed.

Delete inside the app

Open Orrbbit → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account, then follow the prompts. This is the fastest way to remove your account.

For your security, we never reveal whether an account exists. If an account matches, we'll email a secure confirmation link.

Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy

1. Deletion options

  • In-app: Settings > Account & Data > Delete Account.
  • Website: https://orrbbit.com/delete-account.
  • Support: support@orrbbit.com where the normal process cannot be used.

2. Identity verification

Orrbbit must verify control of the account before deletion. The website process should send a signed, single-use, expiring confirmation link to the account email. Orrbbit will use a generic response so the form does not reveal whether an account exists.

3. What deletion does

  • Disables account access and removes the profile from ordinary discovery.
  • Deletes or anonymises account, profile, location, push-token and professional-document data.
  • Cancels active visibility and connection status.
  • Removes content controlled only by the deleting user, subject to recipient copies and legal exceptions.
  • Begins backup expiry and deletion cycles.

4. What may remain

  • Messages or content already received by another user may remain in that user’s account, but the deleted account should be de-identified where practicable.
  • Reports, moderation decisions and safety evidence may be retained to protect users and detect repeat offenders.
  • Transaction, tax, refund and legal records may be retained where required.
  • A minimal deletion audit record may be retained for up to 7 years.
  • Backups may retain data for up to 90 days before overwrite.
  • Information subject to litigation, regulatory, law-enforcement or security hold may be retained until the hold ends.

5. Timing

Verified deletion requests will normally be completed within 30 days. Complex or legally restricted requests may take longer; Orrbbit will provide an update where required.

6. Irreversibility

Deletion may be irreversible. A deleted account, verification, connections, messages, reviews and history may not be recoverable.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Deleting an account does not necessarily cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Users must cancel through the relevant store before deleting the account. Outstanding disputes, chargebacks or lawful payment records may continue to be processed.

8. Inactive accounts

Orrbbit may identify accounts with no meaningful activity for 24 months. Orrbbit will provide at least 30 days’ notice before deleting or anonymising an inactive account, unless the account must be retained or restricted for safety, legal or security reasons.

9. Data export

Before deletion, a user may request a copy of eligible account information through Account & Data settings or support@orrbbit.com. Export does not include information that would reveal another person’s confidential data, compromise safety or violate law.
