Events & Meetup Spot Terms

1. Event types

• Personal events: created by users for people nearby.
• Public events: visible to nearby users.
• Approval-required events: the host approves each attendee before details are fully shared.
• Business events: created by verified businesses.

2. Host and attendee responsibility

Hosts are responsible for their event's accuracy, legality, safety and capacity. Attendees are responsible for their own choices and conduct. Orrbbit does not organise, run or guarantee events listed by users or businesses.

3. Approval-required events and hidden addresses

For personal events marked 'Approval Required', the event address remains hidden until the host approves that attendee. Hosts must not share attendee information beyond what is needed to run the event.

4. Changes and cancellations

Hosts must update event details promptly and clearly communicate changes or cancellations to approved attendees.

5. Orrbbit Verified Meetup Spots

Orrbbit Verified Meetup Spot status means a location or business satisfied Orrbbit's stated participation or verification criteria. It does not guarantee personal safety, user behaviour or that incidents cannot occur. Users should still follow the Safety Centre guidance when meeting anyone.

Where a Meetup Spot or event placement is sponsored or paid, it will be identified as such.

6. Reporting and enforcement

Events can be reported from the platform or via the Report a Concern page. Breaches may result in event removal, host restrictions, verification removal or suspension under the Content Moderation, Reports & Appeals Policy.
